WTMA Celebrates Another Great Year By Gathering At The 2024 Peace Hill Fall Festival
Each November folks from all over gather at Well-Trained Mind Academy (WTMA) founder Susan Wise Bauer’s farm for the Peace Hill Fall Fiber Festival. WTMA has a special community event at the festival where Academy students, parents, teachers, and administrators get to know each other IRL.
This year’s Fall Festival featured printmaking with WTMA instructor Alison Pariso, with some gallery-worthy results!
Bobbing for apples is a new favorite–this year’s wonderful weather made it a lot of fun to splash around for a prize.
Dr. Bauer even created a scavenger hunt to test the sleuthing skills of the attendees!
Here’s a sample clue: My legs are short, my shoulders are broad, my face is white, my hair is curly.
The answer? Nigel the Bull!
The festival is a time when online friends get to meet in person, which is always very exciting. Abby and Noah, both students in the 9th grade class cohort, know each other from cohort meetings and were excited to meet in person!
We all had a great time this year, as always!
