Step Up for Students is a state-funded scholarship program that allows families access to educational options that best meet their children’s needs. Families can use these funds to support academic growth, specialized services, and flexible learning pathways.
Click here for WTMA Step Up Approved Classes/Instructors. Email [email protected] if your class and/or instructor needs to be added to the list.
Please note:
Families using scholarship funds must place an order through the SUFS Marketplace in addition to enrolling directly with WTMA. The SUFS Marketplace and WTMA Student Information System do not communicate directly with one another, so placing an order in the Marketplace does not automatically enroll your student in the class at WTMA, and enrolling with WTMA does not automatically create a Marketplace order.
The Marketplace is connected to your student's ESA, which allows the program to verify that the course and instructor are approved and to pay WTMA directly using the scholarship funds. As an important safeguard against fraud and misuse of scholarship funds, SUFS requires parents to initiate and approve Marketplace orders themselves. WTMA can submit an invoice to receive payment, and invoices can only be submitted for courses that have a corresponding Marketplace order.
