Oliver Tixi’s Writing Wows With Style And Substance

Fall 2024 was a great semester for Oliver Tixi in Preparation for Rhetoric Writing with instructor Lori Huth. Mrs. Huth wanted to share three of Oliver’s works with the WTMA community, and after reading them, you’ll see exactly why!
Of Oliver writing, Mrs. Huth says, “In these compositions Oliver clearly and concisely explains the basic information that was required about each subject (Julius Caesar, Venus flytraps, volcanoes), but what makes them remarkable is how stylishly he does that. He works hard to make the subjects interesting and fresh. His work in the compositions reminds me of contemporary writers who popularize history and science by writing about them in truthful yet engaging ways, such as Mary Roach, Bill Bryson, and Doris Kearns Goodwin. I had great fun reading all of these assignments! Taken together, the three compositions create a strong, engaging voice and show Oliver to be a promising writer.”
We can’t wait to see what you write next, Oliver!
