Elephant Toothpaste in Chemistry for the Logic Stage

Students in Dr. Amanda Furtado’s Chemistry for the Logic Stage class came up with their own science fair projects this semester. They could investigate whatever they wanted to as long as the scientific method was used in the experiment design and testing. Wania Khan really impressed Dr. Furtado with her project on Elephant Toothpaste. Wania’s hypothesis was that, when making elephant toothpaste, using 6 % hydrogen peroxide would result in more foam in a shorter time than using 3 % hydrogen peroxide.
