Grant Iwamoto wowed his Creative Writing for the Rhetoric Stage II teacher Chris Bauer with his haiku made of haikus. Mr. Bauer says “Grant kept putting scientific equations into all of his prose but then accessed something entirely different as we began working on poetry, and during our assignment on finding structure and creative voice he submitted a haiku made up of haikus. So you can see the pillars are constructed of 5 haikus and then 7 haikus and then 5 more haikus, each pillar being a longer piece composed of multiple haikus which each have the 5-7-5 syllable structure. SO clever and well executed.” Fantasic work, Grant!
