J.T. Cornelius

J.T. Cornelius is an avid lover of all things biology, with a passion for helping students discover the wonder and relevance of the natural world. Trained at Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Missouri, in Organismal Biology and Secondary Education, J.T. brings both scientific expertise and pedagogical insight to every classroom. He is especially committed to evidence-based teaching practices in both in-person and virtual environments, blending rigorous content with inclusive, student-centered strategies. J.T.’s teaching spans from middle school to graduate education, with particular interests in anatomy, the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL), and fostering curiosity and confidence in learners at all levels.
