Pre-Calculus (Traditional)

Full-year course. Pre-Calculus (Traditional Approach) is designed to prepare students for advanced mathematical concepts and applications encountered in college-level calculus courses. This course builds on the foundation of algebra, geometry, and trigonometry, providing students with a comprehensive course in advanced mathematical principles.

Students will explore functions, including polynomial, rational, exponential, logarithmic, and trigonometric functions. Emphasis will be placed on understanding the properties of these functions, their graphs, and their applications in real-world scenarios.  Students will also explore numerical patterns, sequences and series.

Homework utilizes WebAssign, which provides immediate feedback as well as multiple attempts to solve problems. CalcChat offers solutions to the odd-numbered exercises from the text and CalcView presents video solutions of selected exercises from the text.  Instructors show step-by-step solutions and guidance to help solve selected exercises.
