We had an absolute blast at this year’s Spring Break Community Meet Up. Our incredible group met up at The Franklin Institute in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on a gorgeous spring day.

For many, this was the first time meeting instructors, classmates, and WTMA staff in person. We love our online community, and we really appreciate it when we get to spend time together in person.

We started the day with a visit to the Fels Planetarium to experience Encounters in the Milky Way. After we got to enjoy Universal Theme Parks: The Exhibition.

Next up was lunch at The Eatery, where students had the chance to share a meal together, and parents got to know the WTMA instructors and staff guiding their students. 

More exploration followed, with lots of laughs and quirky photo opportunities!

We love to see the friendships that started online deepen in-person. This group has traveled all across the United States to hang with each other!

Families and staff members came from California, Florida, Maryland, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, Virginia, and West Virginia.

Some started their Spring Break with WTMA while others spent the weekend before exploring Philadelphia. One family included the meet up as a stop on a tour of East Coast colleges. However we fit into everyone’s schedule, we are so grateful for those in our community who attended.

Finally, WTMA staff had to sneak in some pictures at famous Philly icons like the Liberty Bell and the Love Sign.

These meet ups fill us with happiness. Stay tuned for next year’s trip destination. We can’t wait!
