Every year Well-Trained Mind Academy owner Susan Wise Bauer hosts a fiber festival on her farm. Academy students, parents, teachers, and administrators take advantage of the event and get together for good fun and great company. 

For the 2023 fall fiber festival, the sun was out and the air was crisp–everyone felt the fall spirit. The big bunnies were back; students made sure to visit them after lunch, or before a hayride around the grounds. 

Of course we got together for our annual combine picture.

A lot of our staff was able to attend: Mr. Bauer, Frau Edwards, Dean Collier, Mrs. McGlaughlin, Mrs. Neace, Mr. & Mrs. Otto, Ms. Phillips, and Dr. Roudabush. Informal conversations with families and bonding over cute sheep is always a nice way to build community!
